  • Why do I need a license to use songs on my Instagram reel/post?

    For your personal posts on Instagram, music is free. But when used for business or commercial purposes, licensing of music is essential. Any individual or entity who uses music in videos/posts/reels for commercial purposes on Instagram, requires a license. Availing a license permits you to legitimately use a song in a commercial reel / post on Instagram without worrying about copyright claims for the audio.

  • Where can I use the licensed song?

    The license is valid only for Instagram (and Facebook, if your accounts are connected). You can use the song only on one post / reel on the connected Instagram account that you provide to us at the time of the license.

  • Can I use the song on other platforms like YouTube or TikTok?

    The license is only for Instagram and the connected Facebook account. For licensing on multi-platforms / any other platform, write to us at licensingforbrands@rpsg.in Our team will reach out to you within 48 hours.

  • How long is my license valid?

    The license permits you to use the song on one Instagram reel or post within 1 (one) year of the issuance of license.
    The reel or post where you have incorporated the song can remain on your account for as long as you want it to remain.

  • I have taken a license for a song more than a year ago. However, I have not incorporated the song in my Instagram reel or post yet. Can I use it now?

    No. If you haven't used the song within 1 year of purchasing the license, you'll need to obtain a new license.

  • What do I receive with the license?

    You will get:

    • Legal rights to use the song in one Instagram post/reel (and Facebook if linked)
    • A downloadable version of the licensed song
    • Copyright protection for the use described

  • How do I get started with the music licensing process?

    To license songs , simply follow these steps:

    • Filter songs by category, mood or theme
    • Add the desired song(s) to the cart
    • Add your Instagram account(s) to calculate the pricing
    • Review & Accept the license terms
    • Make the payment
    • Download your licensed song & start using on the licensed accounts
    • Add the Instagram video link where you have used the song to avoid copyright claims

    Note: You can incorporate the song within 1 (one) year of the date of issuance of the license.

  • How long does the licensing process take?

    The process is instant. Once the payment successfully goes through, you will receive your license and can immediately download the song.

  • Can I use the same song for multiple Instagram accounts ?

    Yes. You can connect upto 5 (five) Instagram accounts and use the same song in 1 (one) reel/post in each of the connected accounts. Our website will guide you through the process.

  • Can I license multiple songs for the same Instagram account?

    Absolutely. You can license as many songs as needed for one account. Just repeat the standard licensing process.

  • I am unable to license a song for a particular Instagram account. Why?

    If the Instagram account has 10 million followers or more, it requires a special licensing process.

  • Why do I need to connect my Instagram account to each song?

    Connecting your Instagram account enables us to clear the post/reel from copyright claims. Thus ensuring a hassle-free experience for you. We will be unable to issue a license, if you do not connect your Instagram account.
    We do not access your private data or account permissions— just your public username and profile link.

  • I want to get a license for one of my clients. What should I do?

    You can certainly take licenses for your client. All you need to do is connect their Instagram account with the song required, and follow the self-explanatory steps provided on our website. If you need help, contact us at licensingforbrands@rpsg.in.

  • I want to license the same song for multiple clients. What should I do?

    You can connect upto 5 (five) different Instagram accounts per song.

  • I'm not a big influencer. Do I still need a license?

    Yes, if you're promoting your work, business or a brand even with a small audience, you still need a license.

  • Am I allowed to edit, modify or transform the song?

    The license issued to you is for as-is usage only of the licensed song. Only basic trimming is allowed and you cannot remix, alter, mash up, or combine the song with other music unless you receive separate permissions from us.   • What happens if I use the song outside the licensed scope?

    Unauthorized usage (e.g., posting on other platforms apart from Instagram & connected Facebook account, modifying the original song and using it) may lead to copyright violations and legal action. Always use the song as per the terms in the license

  • How do I get my license after purchase?

    You'll receive the executed license link via email upon payment immediately after payment. You can also access this licenses from My Account > Licenses.

  • The handle I had provided to you while taking the license has since changed. I have changed the handle name. Will you take down my content?

    Please inform us about your new handle by writing to licensingforbrands@rpsg.in so we can update your license records. We will not take down your content if you notify us.

  • Can I transfer my license to another account?

    No. Licenses are non-transferable and tied to the specific account provided at the time of purchase.

  • How do I download a licensed song after purchasing a license?

    Go to My Account > Licenses and click the 'Download Song' button next to your song.

  • Once I download the song, can it be used in multiple projects?

    Each license is valid for one use as per the terms mentioned in the license. You will require separate licenses for separate uses/projects.

  • Can I get a refund if I change my mind?

    No. Once the song is licensed, the licensing fees are non-refundable, even if unused

  • Why do I see different pricing for different songs?

    The price for a song depends on multiple factors like Popularity, Language, Instagram account follower count and number of connected accounts..

  • What payment methods are accepted?

    We support different payment methods like:

  • Where can I find my invoice ?

    Invoices are emailed to you after purchase and are also available under My Account > Orders.

  • I could see a few categories yesterday, why are they not available today?

    We regularly refresh our categories and playlists. Use the search bar to find specific songs or themes.

  • How do I find a specific song that I am looking for?

    Use the search bar or apply filters (mood, genre, language, etc.) to locate songs.

  • I don't see the artist/song I need. What should I do.

  • Do I need to give credit to the artist?

    We encourage you to credit artists to support them.

  • What does the 'Premium' tag on some songs mean?
